Marina Sheridan
Marina founded Spot Yoga in 2003 with the goal of bringing yoga to New Yorkers who had the desire, but for whatever reason, weren't able to make yoga a consistent and enjoyable part of their lives.

She began her own yoga practice in 1999 and was fascinated and grateful for the immediate benefits that followed and made life in the advertising world more manageable. She then took the leap of faith and received her initial 200-hour certification with Sonic Yoga in New York City leaving behind a succesful career as a graphic designer. She now continues her education with Julie Gudmestad, a 20-year physical therapist and yoga instructor, and monthly contributor to the national magazine, Yoga Journal.

Marina works solely as a private instructor and strongly believes in the benefits of one-on-one teaching. Her clients range from fashion models to fashion designers to VPs who need a break from their 12-hour workday.

Sam Chase
In New York, Sam leads yoga programs for The United Nations, as well as the publishers of Men's Health, Women's Health, and YogaLife magazines. He also leads teacher training programs and workshops at studios citywide. His clients include Olympic athletes, Broadway dancers, Fortune 500 executives, mothers-to-be, and everyone in between. He specializes in custom-designing practices to meet the specific needs and goals of his students, whether they're stepping onto the mat for the first time, or looking to reinvigorate a longstanding practice.

Sam holds a Master's Degree from Harvard University, and is certified to teach by the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, the largest center for yoga in the nation. He combines Kripalu's unique methodology with an extensive personal background in Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga to create sessions that range from deeply meditative and therapeutic to intense and vigorous.

Anne Taylor
Anne Taylor has been studying yoga for over 10 years and presently holds two 200-hour certifications in the Kripalu and Vinyasa styles of Hatha Yoga. Anne is currently enrolled in a 500-hour teacher-training program in Elemental Yoga, a mind/body therapeutics program founded by yoga teacher and bio-psychologist, Bo Forbes PsyD. Anne has an extensive knowledge of the principles of physical rehabilitation coupled with a sophisticated understanding of mental wellness culled from her 15-years experience in the fields of mental health and addictions. Anne's teaching experience is rich and varied; she presently teaches both group classes and private sessions throughout New York City. Many of her private clients look to her to create a yoga program that complements their physical therapy. Anne pays great attention to the physical alignment of her students helping them to cultivate grounding, strength and balance in their everyday lives.
